2025 marks the 60th anniversary of the Seiko diver’s watch. Since creating Japan’s first diver’s watch in 1965, Seiko has continuously advanced in diver’s watchmaking to meet the demands of professional divers worldwide. This pioneering dive watch pursued reliability and safety, paving the way for many future innovations. 

Those innovations have brought us to the new flagship Seiko Prospex Marinemaster – a high-end diver’s watch that embodies the technology and expertise Seiko has developed in creating diver’s watches. Its appeal lies not only in its exceptional performance but also in the refined beauty of its exterior design and the meticulous finishing of its details, like the new textured dial whose pattern evokes "Shinkai," or the deep sea. A thick, clear lacquer adds a lustrous finish to enhance the beauty of the dial
while achieving an unprecedented level of visual depth.

Its unique, once-piece 45mm titanium case shape inherits its distortion-free mirror surface from the original Seiko design of 1968. Additionally, the stainless steel bezel has been treated with Diamond-Like Carbon coating to achieve a surface hardness approximately six times greater than it would otherwise be, making it significantly more resistant to scratches.

The 60th-anniversary limited edition model, equipped with the newly developed Caliber 8L45 mechanical movement (now with 72 hours of automatic autonomy), achieves unprecedented beauty and performance and is now available from the Marinemaster series.
