Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 565 movement, the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs. With 24 jewels and a quick-setting date, it was the top tier offering of the famous 500 series and is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from the era.
It measures approximately 35mm in diameter without the crown, in between the size of a Rolex Date and a Rolex Datejust.
It is 100% Omega down to the dial, hands, and winding crown. It has just finished a true expertly done restoration and presents in gorgeous condition.
The case presents as just short of mint with light signs of the back having been previously polished - all of the wording is legible, more so than the photos suggest, but portions are light. On the wrist it presents as mint. The dial is a perfect custom refinishing in Tiffany "robin's egg" blue - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration the movement has just been fully serviced by a Master Watchmaker.
1950's and 60's Seamasters that feature 500 series movements are excellent buys today because of their quality and relative ease and reasonable cost for servicing.
