Cosmic 2000 watches were large for the era, measuring 38mm in diameter. They fit in well with today's larger look.
This is an early double quick-setting day date Omega watch. Omega created the 1020 series movement with a double quick-set capability for convenient setting of the day and date. Although the idea of the double quick-set watch is most associated with Rolex, which first offered the President model with this "new" feature in late 1990, Omega's 1020 series mechanisms were a pioneer of the technology in large scale production watches.
But what stands out most about this example is how it presents to the eye in true aethetically expertly restored condition. It is fully Omega and on the wrist it presents essentially like new. The photos don't do it justice.
The clean white dial has been meticulously restored - its printing could pass as Omega factory done. The back shows very slight signs of previous polishing, although the logo is still fully intact, and very slight aging underneath the lugs.
A watchmaker has freshly cleaned and oiled the movement - it is running very accurately. For the finishing touch it has been equipped with a brand new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
A four and a half decade old Omega that presents like new on the wrist!
