Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 552 movement used in Seamasters from the era, and one of the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs, and the one of the highest quality offerings of the 500 series.
It has 24 jewels, seven more than in most similar movements, and is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from era.
